ISLAMIC CONCEPT OF HUMAN BROTHERHOOD

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

13. O mankind! we created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and Tribes, that ye may know Each other (Not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the Most honoured of you In the sight of Allah is (He who is) the Most righteous of you. and Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Al-hujarat 13)

In this Quranic verse, the universal teachings of Islam is shown the islam hates discrimination of race, discrimination 0f class, discrimination of color and discrimination of locality. The holy quran further states

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آَدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا

70. We have honored the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of Our creation. Al-isra’ 70

The noble Prophet Muhammad emphasizes the sense of human equality and unity and the right of neighborliness due to neighbors, whith no discrimination on the basis of religion or any other consideration, An important poin to note here is that this teaching is generalized so as to include non muslim neighbors

Thish humane teaching is not merely words but action and faithful application. Prophet Muhammad him self did not hesitate to deal in friendly way whith unbelievers who opposed him in Makkah

In madinah he olso maintained good personal realition whith the jewish community in spite of their hostility to his noble mission he visited them shered their happiness and their grief and had financial dealing whith some of them

Islam completely respects the different color of the skin, background ancestry the ezperience and olso the difference of faith, beyoun the human brotherhood all manking all over the world are full members of single ummat, thet is ummat islam, so the entire muslim ummat is united by the bond of a common rece a common background and a common interest.

On the contrary of these all islam hetes every attempt to divide the bond of ummat into exclusive group nation language and specific race

So that let’s build our close relation our brotherhood and our fellow-feeling under the one umbrella, that is umbrella of ummat which supported by human brotherhood whice rather than a mere brotherhood based on circle of blood, circle of faith an circle of nationality.
